Day 3 is a beautiful day in Columbus, Ohio.

Well, I didn't finish Day 2 the way I planned. I met a friend out for some wings and sweet tea. That combination is probably my biggest downfall.

But...Day 3 is going great. I started the day off with a 45-60 minute walk. It felt great. My morning meal was egg beaters with some salsa and an apple. For mid-morning, I had some cottage cheese and a Whey Protein Shake.

I plan on doing my lower body workout at World's Gym today. Have a great day!

Day 1 down...into Day 2.

I know it is absolutely crazy to say but, I already feel better. I worked out for the first time in years.

I did the Upper Body workout at World's Gym in Pickerington, Ohio. I thought I'd rather work on my own in my house but I was wrong. I have a long way to go but going to gym was probably the best decision I made.

When you go to the gym and you see people with similar health goals, it motivates you. When you see men and women who have been eating healthy and working out for years, it motivates you. I saw people in the same situation as me and I saw people who have transformed their bodies.

This morning I got the kids on the bus and did my walk workout. That felt great. Actually, using my muscles again and working up a sweat.

I haven't been on the scales but I know I weigh around 265 to 270.

Day 2 is going great. I did great on my first 3 meals. I started on my Myoplex Shakes. I was lucky enough that World's Gym carried the product.

Back to work...

The Body for Life Launch!!!

Wow! It is Sept 3, 2007. It is time to make a change. I have decided that I am sick of the way I look and feel. I need to do something about it.

I am going to use the Body For Life (BFL). Why not...I have all the books available to do this program. The program is 12 weeks long. By all accounts, this program looks like the best thing around. If all goes as plan, I should finish up my 12-week program 11/19/2007.

I'm not sure if I'm going to do the official BFL competition or not. I probably should to provide more motivation and incentive.

Yesterday, I bought all the food needed. It is a beautiful day in Columbus so I should be able to get my workout started. I have my health club membership.

NO EXCUSES. Get started!!!


My goal is to up to update the blog at least weekly. I would like to provide my thoughts, plans, and stats. If I can figure it out, I am also going to chart my stats and make those available online.

Okay, everything is in place....now just start.
